Instructions for deleting spam from the spam folder

Note: If your Calmail account is close to 100% full you may need to set your emails to be deleted immediately instead of having them moved to the Deleted or Trash folder.

1. Log in to Calmail - https://calmail.berkeley.edu/

2. If you're already subscribed to the spam folder please go to step 4, if not then click Folders

3. From the Unsubscribe/Subscribe menus select spam from the list on the right and click on the Subscribe button

4. Click on refresh folder list and the spam folder should appear in the list. Now click on the spam folder.

5. If there's more than one page, click Show All, then click Select All. This may take a while if there's lots of spam.

6. When all the messages are selected with a check mark...

7. ...click the Delete button.

8. When all the spam messages have been deleted the folder will display
'This folder is empty'.

9. If your Calmail settings are set to move deleted items to your Deleted or Trash folder you will need to click on Purge to finally delete all of your messages deleted from the spam folder.

10. Click on refresh folder list on the left hand side and your Quota Usage should decrease.
