Changes and Updates

05/16/2009 We now charge $4.50 per sample for UC labs (plus 7.49% for CHORI and LNBL labs) and $6.89 for off campus labs. 05/22/2007 New drop off site: 237 Stanley Hall. Pick up time: 11:10am 07/2006 We now have two Applied Biosystems 96 capillary 3730xl DNA Analyers. 06/05/2006 New drop off site: 136 LSA 12/28/2005 Our new Applied Biosystems 96-capillary 3730xl has arrived. 09/27/2004 It is best if you add the primer. If you do not have a primer on hand and you do not have time to order it, you can pick up an aliquot for free or we can mail one to you. We have the following primers: M13 Reverse (-24)(16-mer): 5'-AACAGCTATGACCATG-3' M13 Forward (-21)(18-mer): 5'-TGTAAAACGACGGCCAGT-3' T7(20-mer): 5'-TAATACGACTCACTATAGGG-3' T7 Reverse(19-mer): 5'-GCTAGTTATTGCTCAGCGG-3' T3(17-mer): 5'-ATTAACCCTCACTAAAG-3' SP6(19-mer): 5'-GATTTAGGTGACACTATAG-3' If you need us to add the primer, put a large note in red on your order form, and your samples should be just 10uL total volume. 03/01/2004 We now have a new Applied Biosystems 48-capillary 3730 DNA Analyzer. This gives us a higher capacity and the ability to get results out faster with longer read lengths. We can now get read lengths of up to 1000 bases. The enhanced optical design provides a better signal-to-noise ratio that helps us give you high-quality data and the longest read lengths of any available system. 08/2001 Restrictions on sample names: We are now asking that your sample names be kept short. Your labels can use any letter, number or the following punctuation: -_(){}#.+. We ask that you write these labels on both the TOP of the tubes and on your order form. If you would like to keep track of your samples with a longer label, write your own label on the side of your tube. A simple labeling system should be on TOP of the tubes, and it should match exactly what is on your order form. |
